You will of

failing is quite different from not even trying.’

Pastoral Letter November 2018
Our Bishop, the
Rt Rev Patrick McKinney, has temporarily appointed Fr John St John
as Parochial Administrator of our two Parishes. Fr John St John
will move from his present parish and take up the temporary appointment
in September, during the week beginning 17 September 2018. He asks
us to make him welcome while he serves us, and to give him every
support. The Bishop feels that the two parishes should continue
to function well and be welcoming of all visitors.

Find out why our Church
has been dedicated to the Divine Infant of Prague and
to read about its very interesting history:
for peace in Syria
of peace, who are peace itself and whom a spirit of
discord cannot grasp, nor a violent mind receive, grant
that those who are one in heart may persevere in what
is good and that those in conflict may forget evil and
so be healed. Through our Lord Jesus
St John of
Damascus, pray for us.
We now have a new
display cabinet full of repository items for baptism, first holy communion,
confirmation etc as well as a card rack where parishioners can help themselves
and deposit the cost of the card in the cash box. For items in the cabinet Maria
usually at all Syston masses so if anyone would like to look at anything they
only have to let her know. You will find her in the porch at the end of mass.
Her contact details are inside the cabinet should anyone need
anything outside of mass times.
Lastly there is a notebook and pen on the card rack (behind the cash box)
should anyone like to leave any enquiries that way or any suggestions for
future orders. If you leave your contact details, she will get back to you.
